ADV - Accelerate, Decelerate, Velocity
"ADV is designed to increase the velocity and overall health of an athlete’s arm. Any position player or pitcher who wishes to increase their velocity and reduce the chance of injury would benefit from this program.
The program uses overload and underload training. The athlete will be taken through the throwing process with various weighted baseballs, adjusting the weight of the balls and the amount of throws throughout an 8 week program, throwing twice per week. ADV athlete participants will also be doing CST (Cross Specific Training) when they sign-up for ADV. CST strengthens the entire kinetic chain for athletes to get into top shape for baseball and softball. An athlete moves linear, circular, and angular. CST employs the same movements, planes and positions utilized in playing the game of baseball and softball. Simply put, they get better faster because we are firing the same muscle groups they use between the lines.
Elite cannot emphasize enough the risk of injury if the program is not STRICTLY adhered to. Weighted baseballs when used properly can be a tremendous aid to increase velocity and will support the overall health of an athlete’s arm.
Here at Elite, we have always placed the athletes physical well being first. It doesn’t matter how hard you can throw if you injured or constantly sore. Velocity is the separator in this game, the harder you throw, the more scouts/coaches, etc. come to see you. That being said, ADV is designed to safely increase an athletes velocity. Remember this program will help every position. Every coach/scout is looking for that power arm…Do the work and you WILL see the results!"

Note: You must be a Sportsquest member in order to attend classes at the Sportsquest training facility
*Effective September 1st 2014, Elite will require all persons to purchase and maintain an Elite ID card. The initial cost will be $10 per card and will be good for the life of the card. This card is required to accompany any athletes participating at Elite. This is an efficiency measure on behalf of Elite to reduce any discrepancies in purchases.
