"My boys, Darren & Dustin, both played this fall with Coach Spyke and had a wonderful season. Coach Spyke was professional, knowledgeable, encouraging and had the respect of the entire team. It was fun to watch the team improve as the season went on. After the season Darren said “he is the best coach I have ever had”. Darren is usually pretty quiet and for him to say that meant a lot. Coach Spyke is a great representative of Elite and you should be proud to have him wear your name on his shirt. He has a great work ethic, attitude and commitment to not only to help the kids with baseball but to be better people as well.
"The Gignac family has enjoyed very much our affiliation with the Elite program. We have had 2 boys go through the program with the expert staff at Elite, which I believe scans the last 12 years! One of our sons played 4 years of college baseball at the D3 level, while our youngest son is playing Club ball at the D2 level. For all of those that are considering participation in the Elite program, for us, a few of the greatest attributes of the Elite program has been the personal and professional approach to training, the opportunity to participate in a first class organization, and preparation for the possibilities of college baseball for our sons. Both of our sons have a great love for the game, but they are different types of personalities and it has been a pleasure to observe Bryan, Mike, Jim and the rest of the staff approach both as individuals and allow their development by catering to their individual strengths. In other words, the staff has great knowledge of the game and what it takes to be successful, but their approach is not a one size fits all, rather it caters to the strengths of the individual.
"I want to thank the Elite baseball staff for all the hard work and support they have gave to my son Dakota Mekkes. When Dakota started training lessons we wanted to find the absolute best training staff available. We had some lessons at Curtis Morgan and also at Diamonds before we went to Elite. Hands down Elite has the superior training facility and trainers. The Christian values and the coaches at Elite are second to none. Dakota has been training at Elite for the past 8 years now. My only regret is that I didn’t get him involved in CSTs sooner. He started CSTs only a few short months ago. His fastball has went from 84MPH to 90MPH! Mike Paul does a great job with teaching the boys how to not only gain velocity but also to prevent injury. Bryan Barr has went the extra mile for Dakota, working closely with several College coaches on Dakotas behalf. He has directed us to the right showcase tournaments and been a huge help in the whole process of choosing the right College. Dakota also really enjoys playing for coach Jim Abbott. His knowledge of the game and his passion is amazing! He can spot a mechanical problem when Dakota is on the mound and correct it right away to prevent injury. I will always be a huge advocate for Elite baseball and softball and there tremendous staff. It’s refreshing to see a business like this that cares more for the individuals than they do about making money."
"Our family (we have 2 boys) has been a part of Elite Baseball for almost 6 years. When we started looking for an organization that could train our boys, Elite stood out above the rest. Bryan, Mike and Jim are the best trainers in the area, have great resumes, but more importantly are men of faith, helping mentor our boys. That stood out to us from the first day we met them. They play a very important part in helping our boys grow up to be Christian athletes. The training we receive at Elite is top notch. They specialize in all aspects of the game…hitting, pitching, fielding and Core Strength, and have a great facility to use. Our oldest son is now in High School. Bryan, Mike and Jim are there to walk and talk us through which camps, and showcases to attend in order to get maximum exposure for our son. They truly care for each person. It is a blessing to be part of the Elite family."
“I was given the opportunity to start training and working out at Elite in 2007. Elite gave me the opportunity to continue my baseball career and has helped me excel on the field and in the classroom. The support from the staff gave me a desire to improve as a player, teammate, and student. I have continued to improve and take pride in what I do.
“Michigan Elite Softball has been a huge part of my life for the past seven years. Every summer, traveling around Michigan, meeting and bonding with new girls on the team is what I look forward to the most. Elite has helped me develop the discipline and knowledge I need to succeed on and off the field. Aside from making long lasting friendships and creating great memories, Elite has propelled my softball career to the collegiate level. Through excellent training and coaching and the opportunity to attend collegiate exposure tournaments, Elite gave me all the tools needed to extend my softball career to a Division 1 college. Sadly, this coming summer will be my last eligible season of Michigan Elite 18u. It will break my heart to leave this program, my teammates, and coach. I know I will be prepared for softball at the college level and that the Michigan Elite Softball program will continue developing skilled softball players, but more importantly great, hardworking individuals who otherwise may not get the opportunities Elite brings to young athletes.”
“Not all kids are blessed with the same opportunities and the Elite Baseball Program understands that; they wanted to reach out further so they set up the West Michigan Assistance Fund. As a Board Member, I wanted to do my part and offer my time to help the WMAF and increase their ability to reach underprivileged youth through athletic opportunities which can help a child’s confidence off the field as well.”
